Founded in 1934 by Cyril Hornstra,
the company formerly known as Merchants Cash
Register began as a simple repair shop. Over the
years “Merchants” grew to be the Midwest’s largest
supplier of cash registers while also providing
exceptional repair services and support . The
company’s current President Gary Hornstra, grandson
of the original founder, changed the name to
Merchants Solutions in 2001 to reflect the
company’s focus in providing total Point Of Sale
(POS) System solutions.
Today, Merchants Solutions has
become the Midwest’s largest provider of Computer
POS Systems and Electronic Cash Registers (ECRs).
Specializing in the Grocery, Restaurant/Hospitality
and Specialty Retail Industries, Merchants Solutions
continues to deliver high quality solutions to its
customers. We are able to provide a complete POS
package which includes hardware, software,
professional installation, experienced training,
local service and ongoing technical support fully
customized to the needs of each individual customer.
